Having issues logging onto your HP Vista Laptop due to Credential Manager?
To fix the issue:
1. Hold down CTRL + ALT + DEL on the logon screen and select Change User.
2. Select Credential Manager
3. Click Logon Using Wizard
4. DO NOT login as it will not work yet. On the bottom of the screen, click more options
5. Select "Do not login with credential manager"
6. Login using normal credentials and you should be able to login successfully
7. To prevent it from happening again in the future, uninstall Credential Manager without removing identities (option), reboot and reinstall from the hard disk c:\SWSetup\HPtools, or download the latest Credential Manager from the following link:
- http://h20219.www2.hp.com/Hpsub/cache/292230-0-0-225-121.html or search via www.hp.com site if the link fails to work.
